OUR TEAM
GPs deal with a whole range of health problems. They also provide health education, offer advice on smoking and diet, run clinics, give vaccinations and carry out simple surgical operations.
They usually work in practices as part of a team, which includes nurses, healthcare assistants, practice managers, receptionists and other staff.
Practices also work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as health visitors, midwives, mental health services and social care services

Our practice team consists of doctors, nursing departmment, management, reception and administration staff. It is the Practice Manager's job to supervise the staff and ensure the smooth running of the practice. She may be able to help you with any administrative or non-medical aspects of your health or treatment.
Our receptionists are fully trained to do a very difficult job. Please remember that if you need to be kept waiting, or seem to be asked one or two irritating questions, they are carrying out our policy of making the most efficient use of the doctors' and nurses' time.
They have to judge the urgency of your request, and many others, so please try to give them all necessary details.
We are part of HASP Primary Care Network (PCN). Through collaboration with a group of other practices, we aim to improve the healthcare of patients.
NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is publicised and the required disclosure is shown below.
However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice and should not be used to for any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparisons with other practices.
The average earnings for GPs working in the Orchard 2000 Medical Centre in the last financial year ending in 2021/22 was £93,623 before taxation and National Insurance.
This is for 2 full-time GPs, 1 part time GP and 1 locum GP who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.
